AFF Suzuki Cup
In 2012, the biennial AFF Suzuki Cup brought the roar back to The Lions, Singapore’s national team. It was a year of victory for Nike Football Singapore and WE! were glad to be part of it.
Tasked by Nike Football Singapore to capture the attention and the engagement of Football Obsessed Teens (FOTs) on the Facebook Page, WE! thought: Nothing better than to send one of them around the ASEAN nations to catch the matches ‘live’!
So WE! reached out and called for the biggest Lion’s fan through Facebook engagement. And the FOTs responded in droves. A winner was picked and WE! traveled with him across the countries to sing the support for The Lions wherever they played.
The photos and interviews with players captured on-ground was truly electrifying; both for the fan and for the FOTs on Facebook. And with The Lion playing their best to defend their title, the reach and engagement for the AFF series on Facebook exploded. Across the ASEAN nations, WE! helped Nike Football Singapore do the best on Facebook during that tournament, ending 2012 with a bright burst of victory.
